Chennai couple develop new tech, turn 150 tons of plastic waste into low-cost fuel
The start-up, founded by husband-wife duo Vidya and Amarnath Maitreyan, converts plastic waste into liquid fuel that is eco-friendly, cheaper and can be used to fuel generators, industrial boilers, and furnaces, amongst others.
The circular economy start-up Paterson Energy recycles plastic water into plastic oil using thermo-chemical depolymerisation technology.
Single use plastic, which does not get recycled, can be used in this model. Their current product can generate 500 L of oil for a tonne of plastic waste
