Individual develops organic diapers using natural materials
An eco-friendly napkin made from cellulose derivatives
Preethi Ramadoss, a research scholar from the Department of Crystal Growth Centre of Anna University, has come up with a biodegradable sanitary napkin that does not have any plastics and can degrade within a month.
Napkins and diapers made in the market take a long time to degrade, hence are not sustainable in the longer run.
The raw materials used are naturally occurring polysaccharides derived from plants and also contains turmeric, vetiver, need and lemon extracts.
She is an ardent environmentalist and is also working on multiple projects that are eco-friendly and sustainable.
